Pre-event for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, Niseko, Japan
Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan – The cycling world turns its sights to Niseko as the iconicNiseko Classic gears up for another unforgettable event.
The 2025 Niseko Classic will run from June 13th to 15th, offering thrilling competition for competitors and spectators alike.
This landmark event also serves as a prelude to the prestigious 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, coming to Niseko from August 28th to 31st, 2026.
Registration for the 2025 Niseko Classic and Fun ride opens February 21st, 2025.

The Niseko Classic will see cyclists tackle breathtaking climbs through mountain passes, wind through lush forests, and race alongside the lapping waves of the Sea of Japan.
All of the thrilling racing is set against the captivating backdrop of Mt. Yotei and the Niseko Mountain Range, continuing the Niseko Classic’s storied legacy of celebrating the region’s natural beauty and using active tourism as a means for economic revitalization for towns throughout the region.
In addition to the highlight road race, the 2025 Niseko Classic also features a Team Relay (the first of its kind to be held in Japan), individual Time Trial, and a welcoming Fun Ride for participants of all abilities. With an anticipated increase in participation, the event will set the stage for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Series in Niseko.
As the Niseko Classic continues to grow, it remains an exciting lead-up to the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships, further cementing Niseko’s place as Asia’s premier cycling destination.
