BAMBOO CRAFTS Demonstration & Workshop

Event Details:
In collaboration with Gallery Japan, internationally acclaimed Bamboo Artist, Hafu Matsumoto, will be holding a special Bamboo Crafts demonstration and workshop from
26 and 27 February 2025 in Park90 (Lobby) at Setsu Niseko.

Demonstration by Hafu Matsumoto

16:00~

Matsumoto-san will craft a special piece using Hyoretsudake bamboo, renowned for its intricate “cracked ice” pattern, symbolising the hotel’s connection to “snow.” The piece will be crafted live in the lobby for an hour over two days. Additionally, a 50cm display piece will also be showcased for guests to admire.

Bamboo Bracelet Workshop

17:00~

This 60-90 minute event offers the experience of making a bracelet using thin bamboo skewers and traditional Japanese decorative cords, ‘Mizuhiki.’ While learning about bamboo, participants will create a bracelet that fits perfectly on their wrist.

This experience is free of charge and anyone is free to join. Registration will close once maximum number of participants is reached on a first come, first serve basis.
